Al Damashek

Founder, Executive Director

Al Damashek is the man behind the scenes at many of the music industry’s most important moments. With 15+ years of experience booking and marketing concerts and tours, managing artists, and producing culturally impactful events, Al has served as a talent buyer for historic venues like Webster Hall and SOB’s, and as the producer behind industry-leading events series like Pigeons & Planes’ No Ceilings and Heineken Green Room. During the pandemic, Al innovated live-streaming music content, partnering with Twitch to build a virtual concert venue and broadcast performances around the world. Al continues to be a trailblazer in events and artists’ services, creating platforms for bands to succeed, and booking the stars of tomorrow before many are even aware of them.

Arty Furtado

General Manager

Originally from Geneva, Switzerland, Arty is a true industry hustler. A skilled communicator fluent in 5 languages, he is a well-networked music producer, DJ, audio engineer, and currently leads production for all of Move Forward Music’s events.  He is an expert at making talent and clients feel at ease during a show, and adept at negotiating high-pressure situations and finding creative solutions to challenges in real-time.
